The experience
About this tour
The Mini Sahara tour packs a lot into a day — and it's one of the best-value full trips you can do from Agadir. You travel by 4x4 through the Souss region, stopping at a pottery workshop where local artisans make traditional ceramics by hand.
From there you head to the coast to explore fishermen's caves carved into the cliffs, then drive off-road along the Souss River where you might spot bald ibis, flamingos and marbled ducks. The next stop is Tiznit, a walled city famous for its silver markets and red-mud ramparts.
Lunch is in a local Berber house — tajine and couscous with seasonal fruit and mint tea. After lunch, you reach the dunes of Rasmouka, known as the Mini Sahara, where you get a camel ride and free time to walk on the sand. The last stop is a panoramic viewpoint over the Youssef Ibn Tachfine dam before the drive back.
